Wayne Henry Dunnavent, Sr.

Wayne Henry Dunnavent, Sr., age 74, of Big Clifty, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born on January 25, 1951, in Arkansas, Wayne was the beloved son of the late William and Geneva DeWitt Dunnavent. 

Wayne lived a full life marked by dedication and hard work as a self-employed truck driver, a profession he embraced with pride. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-whether it was diving into a good book or watching videos on his phone, he had a curious spirit and an eagerness to learn that touched everyone who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Sherrie Evans Dunnavent, and their four children: Crystal Huddleston (Jeremy), Wayne Dunnavent, Jr. (Tina), Misty Terry (Daniel), and John Dunnavent (Kelly). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, whose lives he impacted deeply and whose love he cherished immensely.

Wayne was preceded in death by three siblings, who will welcome him with open arms in the eternal embrace of family. 

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will be chosen as a means to honor his journey.
