Wanda Gaye Clemons Horn, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on March 16, 2026, surrounded by loved ones in Leitchfield. Born on September 23, 1952, in Leitchfield, Wanda was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Imogene Grant Clemons.
Wanda was a woman of many passions. Her faith, rooted in the Catholic tradition, guided her through life, and her love for family brought her immense joy. She had a knack for tackling puzzles, a love for reading, and a talent for antiquing that made her home a treasure trove of memories. Wanda was often found crocheting lovingly crafted gifts or cooking up delicious meals that brought everyone together. She had a green thumb too, finding joy in nurturing her flowers and riding her gator, embracing the beauty of the outdoors.
Wanda is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Leroy Horn; her son, Craig Horn and daughter-in-law Krystal; her daughter, Michelle Horn and son-in-law Troy; and her treasured granddaughter, Alyssa Horn Huffman and her husband Ty. She also leaves behind six siblings-Betty Elmore (Larry), Beverly Knoop (Mike), Bill Clemons (Debbie Jo), Phyllis Higdon (Pat), Cindy Carter (Allen Clemons), and Stevie Clemons (Denise)-along with numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her with love and laughter.
Wanda's warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be profoundly missed by all. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Sharron Meyers and Jamie Clemons, who will welcome her with open arms.
In honoring Wanda's memory, funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Leitchfield Funeral Home, with Fr. Steve officiating. Friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects during visitation, which will take place on Thursday, March 19, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday. Wanda will be laid to rest in Leitchfield Memorial Gardens, where her loved ones can visit and remember her beautiful spirit.
We invite all who knew and loved Wanda to join us in celebrating her life and the joy she brought to so many. Online condolences can be left at www.leitchfieldfh.com.
