Sheron Elaine Jones

With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Sheron Elaine Jones, 74, of Leitchfield, Kentucky. Sheron left us peacefully on February 7, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. Born on May 2, 1951, in Flint, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lloyd and Nellie Stillwell Finley.

Sheron's passion for life shone brightly through her love of gardening-cultivating both beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables-and her simple joys like fishing. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Bingo, where her laughter and spirit touched everyone around her. 

She is survived by her loving children, Cindy Hewitt-Korb, Jeff Laxton (Denise), and Mindy Kiper (Marty), and her legacy will live on through her nine grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, JJ (Elizabeth), Steven, Jacob (Kathryn), Devin, Kayla (Ryan), Josh (Logan), Darren, and Branden, as well as several cherished great-grandchildren. Sheron also leaves behind three brothers, James Finley (Wanda), Steve Finley, and Mark Finley (Sara), who will miss her dearly.

Sheron is greeted in heaven by her daughter Sherry Singleton, grandson Brandon Laxton, and her brother Ronald Finley, all of whom she loved deeply.

To honor Sheron's beautiful spirit and the love she shared with us, a celebration of her life will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Leitchfield Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to join us as we reminisce about Sheron's kindness, laughter, and the many memories we shared from 4:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Together, we will pay tribute to a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of so many.

Rest in peace, dear Sheron. Your love and warmth will always be remembered in our hearts.
