Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Saranna "Puddin" L. Hodge, who left us on August 26, 2025, at the age of 59. Saranna was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, and her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Born on May 13, 1966, in Leitchfield, Saranna brought light and laughter into the lives of those around her. The daughter of Sarah (Johnson) Noe and the late Elihu Noe, she carried the love of her family throughout her life. As a dedicated Registered Nurse at Briova Rx, Saranna had a knack for problem-solving and a commitment to caring for others that defined her career. Outside of her work, she found joy in her faith as a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church where she was saved at a young age. She was also a proud Army veteran serving thirteen years in both active and reserve duty.

Saranna had a passion for cooking, decorating, and creating beautiful moments for her loved ones. She was a gifted problem-solver and loved sharing presents that carried her thoughtfulness and creativity. She had a big heart for animals and an appreciation for art, but it was her family that truly enriched her life. Whether she was surrounded by her two daughters, Jazmin and Jara, her loving husband, Stanley, or her grandchildren, Jayla and James, those moments were the highlight of her days.

Saranna leaves behind a cherished family that will carry her spirit: her husband, Stanley; daughters Jazmin Vega Velez and Jara Vega Velez (Travis); stepchildren Houston Hodge (Martha) and Courtney Collins (Brandon); and grandchildren Jayla and James. She is also survived by her three sisters, Eva Wanda Noe-Kerr (John), Emily Dotson, and Andrea Soto (Jose); her two brothers, Hugh Noe (Patty) and Anthony Noe (Yana); her mother, Sarah Noe; and many loving nieces and nephews who will always remember her laughter and love.

Saranna was preceded in death by her father, Elijah Noe and two sisters, Sylvania Dean and Jacqueline Colon. Though we mourn her loss, we take comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Leitchfield Funeral Home, with Elder Nathan Lowe officiating. We invite all who knew Saranna to join us in honoring her life and legacy. Visitation will take place from 1:00 PM CST to 7:00 PM CST on Friday, and again on Saturday from 9:00 AM CST until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest in Leitchfield Memorial Gardens, where her love will continue to shine in our hearts.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter or charity in her honor, recognizing her love for animals and her caring spirit. Condolences can be left below.

May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
