Rickey Dean Stephens

Rickey Dean Stephens, age 70, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 19, 1956, at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Keneth and Flora "Toots" Stephens.

Rickey is survived by his children, Chad Stephens, Meredith Becraft, Julie Stephens, Nancy King and, Adam Stephens. He took great joy in his role as a grandfather to Paige, Allison, Ed, Hagen, Macy, Olivia, Greyson, Trevor, and Chandler. Additionally, he delighted in the company of his two great-grandchildren, Harper and Axle. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Strunk, and brother, Wesley Crabtree, along with numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many other dear family members.

Rickey is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 34 years, Debbie Stephens, as well as his brothers, Eddie Wayne Stephens and Dennis Ray Stephens. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be conducted in honor of Rickey Dean Stephens at 4:00 PM CT on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Leitchfield Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 3:00 PM CT until the time of service on that day. Cremation was chosen in lieu of burial.
