Listen to Obituary

Ray Dean Jones, a beloved husband and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, at the age of 77. Born on October 20, 1948, in Kansas, Ray spent his life as a dedicated factory worker at the local Tobacco Factory in Clarksville, Tennessee, where his hard work and determination earned him the respect of many.

Ray was a man of simple pleasures; in his leisure time, he loved to build birdhouses and craft key ring racks, sharing his creations with friends and family. Known for his take-charge personality, he had a way of making those around him feel secure and cared for.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Carrie Vaughan, who stood by him as a rock through thick and thin. Their bond was one that many admired, filled with love, laughter, and memories that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew them.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Charlie Jones, whose loss deeply touched Ray's life.

In honor of Ray's wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial contributions can be made to Leitchfield Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.

Ray's warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories he created. Online condolences can be shared at www.leitchfieldfh.com.
