Nikhil Silver Flores, age 30, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born on July 10, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois, Nikhil was a bright light from the very start, bringing joy to everyone who knew him. Raised in Detroit by his loving mothers, Aleeah Bishop - Cain and her wife, Lynette O. Cain, Nikhil embraced the vibrancy of life. At fourteen, his journey led him to Kentucky, where he found a new home with his dad, John, and stepmom, Stacie. Surrounded by love, he blossomed into a remarkable man, known for his strength, creativity, and huge heart.
Nikhil had a fiery passion for life. He was a skateboarder, an artist, and a dreamer who could turn everyday items into something beautiful. No matter what challenges he faced, Nikhil could always make those around him smile, laugh, or forget their troubles, reminding us all of the beauty that life has to offer. He leaves behind cherished memories of laughter and love that will echo in the hearts of many.
He is survived by his beloved family: his father John Flores, his stepmother Stacie, and his mothers Aleeah and Lynette. His siblings-Jonathan, Christopher, Anthony (Destiny), Antonio "Nino" (Ashlyn), Tina Nikhala, and his younger brother, Kai. And his aunts, Georgette Turner, Tonya Bishop-Schwengels, Christina Bishop, Chris Bishop, Cathryn Cain, and Britnee Bishop, will forever hold his memory dear. Nikhil was also a proud uncle, showering his nephews, Ezra and Zaelyn, with endless love and excitement, especially as he looked forward to welcoming his sister's new baby into the world.
Nikhil's grandmothers, Mary Diaz and her husband Heriberto Martinez, and Nada and Lettie, and his grandfather Luis Del Valle, along with his aunts Tracie (Cole), Gladys, Ana (Manuel) and Josie; an uncle, Luis Aniel; great-aunts, Atasa Dennison, Lynette Cain, Julie Jenkins and Lynwood Cain; and a host of loving cousins, friends, and family, will carry his spirit forward. He touched many lives, and the love for him is immeasurable.
In celebration of Nikhil's life, his family will hold funeral services to honor his memory. Details of the services will be shared in the coming days, as his family wishes to create a space filled with love and joy for all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who loved Nikhil to pay it forward through acts of kindness in his memory. Cremation has been chosen, reflecting his free-spirited nature.
