It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marty Tucker, aged 82, who left us on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in Gallatin, TN. Born on November 13, 1943, in the small town of Clarkson, Marty touched the lives of many as a beloved father, grandfather, and friend.

Marty will be remembered not just for his years as a police officer in Shepherdsville, where he dedicated himself to protecting and serving his community, but also for his unwavering spirit as Pastor of the First General Baptist Church. His ministry was more than a calling; it was a profound expression of his compassion for others. Whether he was guiding a congregation with his wisdom or lending a supporting hand to a neighbor in need, Marty's legacy of service was nothing short of inspiring.

When he wasn't in his pastoral role or patrolling the streets, Marty found joy on the golf course and in the simple pleasures of life, like tinkering with lawn mowers. His laughter and love for golf were contagious, and many will remember countless sunny days spent sharing stories and swings with friends.

Marty leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Marty Tucker and his wife Judy; four cherished grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Heather, Justin and his wife Ashley, and the spirited duo Chase and Faith Tucker. Moreover, he was the proud great-grandfather of Thea, Oakley, Aria, and Autumn - each a beacon of joy in his life. He will be missed deeply by his daughter-in-law, Beth Tucker, who shared in the love and memories that defined their family.

Although he was preceded in death by his beloved son Shannon, three brothers-Lewis, Raymond, and Tom Tucker-and sister Bessie Crenshaw, Marty's spirit lives on in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

For those wishing to pay their respects, graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. It will be a time to gather, share stories, and remember the life of this remarkable man who gave so much to others.
