Joyce Sue White

Joyce Sue White, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, departed this life at the age of 57 on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Nashville. A native of Leitchfield, Joyce was born to the late Horace and Gracie Meredith Decker. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Charles White, and her brothers, Troy, Roy, and Kenneth Decker, as well as her sisters, Lorraine Smith and Loretta Woodcock.

Joyce's life was a testament to her profound love for animals and her nurturing spirit. She found joy in tending to her beloved dogs and horses, always bringing warmth and compassion to their care. Her unwavering dedication to family and community will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.

She is survived by her two children, Chastity Mercer (Corey) and Stephen Decker, along with six adoring grandchildren: Stephen Decker Jr., Bailey Dillihay, Katelynn Leon, Lilly Sweeney, Braxton Allen, and Gracelynn Allen. Additionally, Joyce leaves behind three great-grandchildren and siblings Cosetta Gibson, Rita Tomes (Junior), Mary Oma Decker, Sherman Decker (Carolyn), Everett Decker, Randall Decker (Bonnie), as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will hold her memory close to their hearts.

In celebration of her life, the family will receive visitors from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Leitchfield Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with cremation to take place thereafter.
