Jerry Hayes Poole, Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Hayes Poole Jr., age 53, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, who departed this life on June 2, 2026. Born on September 27, 1972, in Louisville, Kentucky, Jerry was the beloved son of the late Jerry Hayes Poole Sr. and the late Kathryn Finn Poole. 

Jerry was known for his deep love of the outdoors, finding joy in deer and squirrel hunting, and fishing in the soothing waters of Fox Cliff. He cherished the moments spent with his family, especially his cherished grandson, William Dallis Poole Jr., and looked forward to welcoming another grandchild into the world. 

He is survived by his devoted children, Jerry Hayes Poole III, William Dallis Poole Sr. (Taryn), Isaiah Jacob Poole, and Jeremiah Riley Poole. He leaves behind his loving brothers, James Poole (Angela), Larry Poole, and Brian Russell. Jerry was also predeceased by a son, Zachariah Matthew Poole, whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

In lieu of traditional burial, cremation was chosen, which reflects his spirit of simplicity and connection to nature. A memorial service will be held in honor of his life and legacy at a future date, allowing family and friends to gather, share memories, and celebrate the profound impact he had on all who knew him.
