We are heartbroken to share that Hazel Louise Hack, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, at the age of 87 in her cherished home in Leitchfield, Kentucky. Born on November 1, 1938, in Leitchfield to Thomas (Bill) and Priscilla (Cilla) Farris Nash, Hazel was a true embodiment of love and warmth.

As a dedicated homemaker, Hazel poured her heart into her family, creating countless memories through family meals, fishing trips, and her beautiful garden. She had a gentle spirit that shone through not only in her cooking but also in her love for crafts and sewing. Her home was a haven for family gatherings, where laughter echoed and stories were shared, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Hazel will be lovingly remembered by her son, Robert Hack; her dear sister, Myrtle Hack; and her six grandchildren: Jen Embry, B. J. Robinson, Candy Saltsman, Tabitha Hack, Chasity Hack, and Dylan Hack. Her family also includes thirteen great-grandchildren, Darren and Dakota Embry, Keegan, Brayden, and Brenton Robinson, Allie Hobin, Connor Saltsman, Jasper and Ashton Willis, Corbyn, Kyle, Kaylynn, and Kamdon Hack; and six great-great-grandchildren, Bo, Jack, Emerson, Griffin, Kyra and Maddie Embry, who will carry her spirit forward.

She joins her husband, Willie Hack; her daughter, Kathy Hack; her sons, Lester and Wilbur Hack; her sisters, Nora Hack Smiddy and Stella Nash; and three brothers, Tim and Vollie Farris and Billy Nash in eternal rest. Their memories will forever remain a part of the fabric of her legacy.

To honor Hazel's life, family and friends are invited to celebrate her memory at the funeral service, which will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Leitchfield Funeral Home, led by Bro. Wayne Clemons. Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 20, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and again on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the service time. Hazel will find her final resting place at South Union Cemetery, where her spirit will continue to watch over her loved ones.

We invite all who knew and loved Hazel to share their heartfelt condolences and memories online at www.leitchfieldfh.com. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.
