Danny Lee Kinkade

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Lee Kinkade, who left us on July 29, 2026, at the age of 61. Danny was born on June 5, 1965, in Leitchfield, Kentucky, to Shirley Lee Kinkade and Janice Sue Davis Kinkade-Decker. 

Danny was not only a dedicated revenue agent, working at the Internal Revenue Service for over 20 years, but also a loving father and brother. He took pride in his Bachelor's of Science degree from Western Kentucky University. It was evident how much he valued hard work and education. He will surely be remembered for his appreciation for knowledge and friendly competitiveness-whether it was adventuring in games like Magic: The Gathering or dominating games, such as Chess and Scrabble. 

Danny leaves behind his cherished son, Danny Kinkade, Jr., his beloved daughter, Jessica Kinkade, and his adored grandson, Trenton Wood. He is also survived by his four sisters, Karen Kinkade, Julie Kinkade, Tammie McStoots, and Hollie Kinkade, along with several nieces and nephews. 

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Lee Kinkade, and two nephews, Dylan Fleener and Curtis Hayse, Jr. whose memories will forever be held dear.

We invite family and friends to gather for a celebration of his life that will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Leitchfield Funeral Home. Friends and family can come together to remember and honor Danny, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM that same day. His final resting place will be at Scott Cemetery, where he can continue to watch over us.
