It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles "Tony" Cahill, age 63, of Clarkson, who left us on October 3, 2026, at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center in Leitchfield. Born on May 24, 1963, in Hudson, Kentucky, Tony was the beloved son of the late Foster Houston "Buster" Cahill and Mamie Francis Meredith Blocker.
Tony was a man of the earth, dedicating his life to the construction trade while embodying a gentle spirit that touched everyone around him. He had a special fondness for revisiting the cherished places of his childhood, where memories sang in the nostalgia of his youth. An outdoor enthusiast at heart, he found joy in the tranquility of nature, whether he was fishing by the lake or hunting in the woods. In more recent years, he found comfort in the stories spun by shows like C.S.I. and N.C.I.S., often sharing laughter and commentary with family.
Tony leaves behind a loving family who remembers him with affection: his devoted wife, Charlotte Ann Burden Cahill; his children, Andy Cahill, Tony (T.J.) Cahill, Jr. (Carolyn), and Tiffany Rodriquez (Steven); his brother, Wayne Blocker; his sisters, Karen Aubrey and Rita VanMeter (Ricky); as well as his four precious grandchildren, Clayton, Eleanor Rose, Declan, and Emilia.
He is now reunited in spirit with his parents and his beloved brother, Tommy Ray Cahill, who preceded him in death.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Tony's life and legacy at the funeral service that will take place at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Leitchfield Funeral Home, with Bro. Mack Sosh officiating. Prior to the service, a time for visitation will be available from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, and again from 9:00 AM until the service begins on Wednesday at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
We hope you can join us to remember and honor Tony, whose warmth and kindness will forever remain in our hearts. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.leitchfieldfh.com.
